ERA organizes the largest annual Nephrology Congress in Europe, welcoming thousands of attendees coming from all over the world, focusing on key learning features both in the clinical field as well as the scientific and latest innovations
Presentation upload
All speakers and presenting authors are kindly invited to upload their presentation for the 60th ERA Congress to a protected server before June 5 (23:59 CEST).
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no speakers’ room on site. All presentations must be uploaded before the Congress.

How to upload your presentation
Invited speaker and Free communication
All speakers must be live in Milano.
Only Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (*pptx – please make sure that you do not use PowerPoint Show *.ppsx) will be accepted.
Starting from May 11, 2022, you will be able to upload your presentation to the Congress platform, additional information will be available in due course.
Moderated Orals
The moderated Orals are special sessions in which abstract-presenting authors can discuss their work.
All speakers must be live in Milano.
You will have 5 minutes presentation + 2 minutes of Q&A.
Each presentation should have a maximum of six slides as in the following:
- title
- intro
- methods
- results
- discussion
- acknowledgements

Focussed Orals and e-posters
Starting from May 11, 2022, you will be able to upload your presentation to the Congress platform, additional information will be available in due course.
To check that information display correctly on the final version, zoom in to 100% and check all images, pictures and graphs. It is better to use high-quality images and graphs when creating your presentation. Don’t stretch the images manually or quality will be lost once zoomed in.
Provide clear labels and headings for each section of your presentation to avoid confusion.
The official template (size of 100 cm wide x 56 cm high, with a simple and clear typeface (Arial) and regular text size of no less than 28 for the body of the different sections) can be downloaded below:
Instructions for online voting
As a speaker of a session that will use online voting, please find the following instructions on how the system works.
This shall help you to prepare for your presentation(s). We kindly advise you to read the following information carefully. The mobile voting system is fully integrated into the provided presentation management system. Therefore, please include the voting slide into the presentation(s) and upload them online. Our check-in team will setup the voting system based on the orders and review all uploaded presentations per session. In the session room the speakers will control your presentation and the voting process themselves.
Participants can vote via their own mobile device by scanning the shown QR-Code. Therefore, we strongly recommend reminding the participants at the beginning of your session to have their mobile devices ready.
Refund Policy for Invited Speakers ONLY*
*IMPORTANT, this is not valid for Free Communication accepted abstracts, Focussed Orals, Moderated Orals or e-posters. In this case, the presenter must refer to the specific invitation letter.
ERA will refund accommodation and travelling to the invited speakers; regarding the accommodation please see the invitation letter.
The maximum amount of refund for travel is calculated based on the speaker’s country of departure. The travel cost includes also transfers to reach the airport/hotel and return based on public transportation.
For the 2023 Congress, these are the maximum allowed travel refunds:
Speakers from the hosting country:
Travel costs: 200,00 € + 100,00 €** = 300,00 € (max.)
Speakers from EU countries:
Travel costs: 250,00 € + 150,00 €** = 400,00 € (max.)
Speakers from European non-EU countries:
Travel costs: 300,00 € + 150,00 €** = 450,00 € (max.)
Speakers from Asia/Africa:
Travel costs: 650,00 € + 150,00 €** = 800,00 € (max.)
Speakers from America/Pacific:
Travel costs: 1.250,00 € + 150,00 €** = 1.400,00 € (max.)
