I think the ERA Fellowship program is an outstanding opportunity for young nephrologists to expand their knowledge, gain clinical and research experience and develop both clinical and academic skills. Furthermore it is a great opportunity to collaborate with top clinical and research institutions around Europe, alongside leading experts in various fields of nephrology.

Yes, I would definitely mention the ERA Fellowship in my professional CV as I consider it to be one of my greatest achievements. I believe that it is a great honor to have received recognition by the ERA organization in the form of a clinical fellowship.

The ERA fellowship program has had a significant impact in my career and education. Since my arrival back to my home institution, I feel more confident, but also inspired and motivated to apply the knowledge and skills I gained to my clinical everyday practice. From a clinical and academic standpoint, the ERA fellowship program has provided me with clinical and research expertise in the fields of renal transplantation and inherited kidney diseases.

The ERA Fellowship has allowed me to expand my knowledge and gain clinical expertise in both renal transplantation and inherited kidney diseases. During my Fellowship in Fundacio Puigvert, Barcelona, I had the opportunity to follow the inpatient and outpatient clinic of kidney transplantation and gain in-depth knowledge in all aspects of cadaver and living donor kidney transplantation including: pre-transplant living donor evaluation, Maastricht I, II and III cadaveric transplantation , high risk transplantation (including ABO and HLA incompatible transplantation), re-transplantation as well as management of short term and long term complications of kidney transplantation . I also had the opportunity to follow the outpatient clinics of inherited kidney diseases and gain knowledge in inherited kidney diseases diagnosis and management, genetic testing application, interpretation of results and genetic counselling in CKD patients.
Moreover, from a research point of view, I had the opportunity to engage in various scientific projects, including an artificial intelligence machine learning project, in which I collaborated in the training of the algorithm, by introducing clinical data of patients diagnosed with IKD by genetic testing.
Overall, during my 6 months fellowship, I had the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who guided me through this unique experience and helped me develop clinical and research skills that in the future will advance my career in nephrology.
