How has the recognition from the ERA Awards affected your career trajectory and opportunities for collaboration?

As a rather senior young investigator, the acknowledgement of the Eberhard Ritz Award reinforced me to continue my ongoing collaborations and further expanding them. It also helps to involve more investigators across the globe. Personally, I want to grow into the role of a trialist contributing to significant clinical trials which inform treatment decisions in nephrology.

Can you share any upcoming projects or goals you have in mind that continue to stimulate the dialogue between education and research in your field?

As the Chair of the Immunonephrology Working Group, my intention is to involve more members to actively contribute to this WG, and also collaborate with key external societies to improve patient care in the field of rare kidney diseases. Education has been key in career development and happens both nationally but also internationally, with involvement in ERA e-seminars, ERA Journal Club, but also supporting GlomCon and Markus@Home, both critical to convey key messages in renal research. My upcoming projects excite me and I am happy that my Team is continuously growing. I would also like to take the liberty and thank my Team, all my collaborators and friends who have supported me in the past and will hopefully do so in the future.
